Higher studies in best college are every student’s dream. It’s a big achievement for them. Hostel charges, purchasing books, examination fees all these things are not easy for them to handle. 4 types of student loans are available in the market:

Government Student Loans: These loans are provided directly to the students by the Department of Education and they have to repay the amount with interest charged after completion of their studies. The interest charged is low and the amount issued is decided by the lender.

Private Student Loans: Private institutions like bank and lenders issue these loans. Loan is given to the student and has to be returned after completing the studies. The interest charged on these loans is higher than government student loans.

Parent Student Loans: These loans are granted to the parents of the concerned student and they repay the loan after the completion of their child’s loan.

Other Loans: These are like a home equity loan that offer tax benefits.

These loans are free from every credit check. Poor credit holders and zero credit holders are also eligible for the loan. The loan has two forms: secured and unsecured. Secured loan provide amount between the range of 25,000-75,000 and unsecured loans provide amount below 25,000. Record Number of College Graduates Defaulting on Student Loans

5

As college costs continue to rise, so does the number of students taking out student loans: Nearly two-thirds of students attending four-year schools now graduate with debt from student loans. Over the past decade, student debt levels have shot up by 108 percent.

While these numbers are significant on their own, the number of borrowers who are defaulting on their student loans has also skyrocketed to the highest level in over a decade. Preliminary data from the Department of Education shows that federal student loan default rates are coming close to topping 7 percent, compared to 4.6 percent just two years earlier, an increase thats raising alarms about borrowers ability to pay off their student loan debt in the current economy.

“The volume of people in trouble is definitely increasing,” said Deanne Loonin, a staff attorney for the Boston-based National Consumer Law Center and consultant for low-income student loan borrowers.

Unstable Job Market Leading to More Student Loan Defaults Education Department officials warn that while these default numbers are high, they may be just the tip of the iceberg.

This most recent federal student loan default rate is for the fiscal year 2007 and only accounts for students who started repaying their federal college loans between Oct. 1, 2006, and Sept. 30, 2007, and who had defaulted by the end of September 2008. The data doesnt include borrowers who, unable to repay their federal student loans, have gone into deferment or forbearance or borrowers who have defaulted on non-federal private student loans.

The student loan default rate is poised to climb even higher as the 1.8 million students graduating college next month who are saddled with student loan debt face one of the toughest job markets in over a quarter-century. The national unemployment rate has already broken the 10-percent mark, with regional unemployment ballooning even higher in certain states.

“Its scary thinking I could have spent $50,000 a year for the last four years and still go back to working at Wegmans, but its a reality,” Catherine Mendola, a senior at Colgate University, told The Associated Press (“College Grads Face Worst Job Market in Years,” USA Today, April 3, 2009).

Debt From Private Student Loans Particularly Troubling To make matters worse, an increasing number of these soon-to-be graduates will be leaving school with debt from private student loans, which typically carry higher interest rates than federal student loans, along with less-flexible repayment options.

The percentage of undergraduates who took out private student loans in the 200708 academic year jumped to 14 percent, up from 5 percent in 200304, according to the Project on Student Debt.

Private student loans arent required to offer the same deferment, forbearance, or income-based repayment options as federal loans, making it generally more difficult for struggling private loan borrowers to obtain a reprieve from their student loan payments and avoid defaulting.

Black Belt Martial Arts Students Learn Capoeira, Brazilian Dance Fighting, from Visiting Instructor

9

Black Belt students at Personal Mastery Martial Arts in Sandy, Utah had a very unique experience this weekend when Master Will Mallmann visited their martial arts school and introduced them to Capoeira, a martial art that is often referred to as -Brazilian Dance Fighting.- Although students at Personal Mastery Martial Arts have a lot of experience in Taekwondo, Hapkido, and other martial arts forms, for most of the students this was their first time learning about or seeing Capoeira demonstrated.

Master Will Mallmann taught a seminar for the black belt students where he not only demonstrated Capoeira, but also taught some of the basic movements and tricks. Participants in the seminar learned many things from the basic movement of the ginga, one of the most fundamental movements of Capoeira, to handstands and headstand cartwheels.

Capoeira is a martial arts form that combines dancing, acrobatics, and martial arts techniques. Unlike many other martial arts, in Capoeira music is an essential element. When Capoeira is performed it is always performed to music and those watching help to keep the tempo by clapping in time with the music. The Capoeira performer matches their performance to the tempo of the music.

For many of the participants at the Capoeira seminar, the performance at the end was their favorite part. All of the students stood in a circle and took turns going in and demonstrating their new-found Capoeira skills in time with the music. Everyone clapped and helped the performer stay with the tempo of the music, often calling out encouragement. The game quickly turned competitive.

One participant, Kim McGowan-Jackson said, -The Capoeira seminar was so fun tonight! Thank you to Master Will Mallmann who has beyond awesome skills. Everyone did such a fantastic job. I think this is the beginning of a super fun Martial Arts weekend. I got to be a Brazilian fighter tonight!-

Personal Mastery Martial Arts often invites visiting instructors to the school to teach their students about different kinds of martial arts and self defense systems. So while Master Will Mallmann was the not the first visiting instructor to visit the school, the students loved having him visit and teach them new things, and they look forward to his next visit.

Students issued tax warning

2

The vast majority of people who earn money are keen to ensure they do not pay too much income tax. For this reason, some use an income tax calculator or PAYE calculator to help them assess whether or not they have.

Students may be among those who can benefit most from such activity, research conducted by one organisation suggests.

According to the Low Incomes Tax Reform Group (LITRG), around six million people are likely to now be receiving tax calculations having not paid the right tax under Pay As You Earn (PAYE), and students are particularly at risk of this.

The reason for this, the organisation claimed, is that such people can find that the system struggles to keep up with their working patterns. For example, undergraduates may be working in several jobs at once, frequently moving between roles, doing irregular work with agencies or be involved in a ‘sandwich’ course during which they work for a year.

Students are advised to keep on top of their income deductions, which may involve using an income tax calculator or PAYE calculator. Not only may mistakes mean they overpay, but they may also result in such people paying too little. In such cases, they could be hit with an unexpected bill at a later date.

With this in mind, LITGR issued advice to students. For example, it stated: “If you start a new job without a P45, but your former employer later gives you one … you can still give it to your new employer for them to adjust your tax code.

“But otherwise, you might need to keep an eye on your payslips and contact HMRC to chase up processing of your P46 to make sure you get put back on a cumulative code if it doesn’t appear to be done automatically.”

Earlier this year, HM Revenue & Customs revealed that a number of people had either under paid or overpaid tax and it sent out correspondence to inform these individuals of the errors.

Student Loan Settlement Is the Loan Subsidized

5

Ever since Credit 911 confirmed that we could settle unsubsidized student loans, we have spent quite a bit of time explaining what the difference between the two types of loans are.

In short, subsidized student loans are when the Federal Government paid the interest on those loans while the individual was attending school. The Federal Perkins Loans are an example of a subsidized student loan. The interest rate is locked at 5% and the Federal Government pays the interest while the student attends school, there is a 9 month grace period following graduation, and an additional grace period during deferments.

Perkins loans, however, are limited in dollars to those students who show the greatest need.

Most students then turn to the Stafford Loan program for additional funding, these loans fall into our two famous categories Subsidized and Unsubsidized. Again, the subsidized Stafford Loan is based on need, while the unsubsidized Stafford Loan is not.

Most Stafford Loans interest rates range from 4% to 6% depending on what year the student took out the loan. As an example loans taken in 2009/2010 were fixed at 5.6 percent while loans this year are expected to be 4.5%. For the subsidized Stafford the government pays all that interest during your education plus the 9 months discussed above. Additionally, students receiving subsidized loans must be minimally enrolled as a half time college student to remain eligible for the funding.

Those that did not qualify for subsidized loans AND those that needed more money would move on to unsubsidized Stafford Loans. Neither subsidized nor unsubsidized loans obtained through financial aid require a credit check, no collateral was needed, what was most important is that you were somehow able to fill out the very complicated Free Application for Federal Student Aid, more commonly referred to as the FAFSA.

The FAFSA is know for being long and complicated, but the good news is that if you happened to fill this out and you werent in terrible financial shape at the time you probably have a mix of subsidized and unsubsidized loans or all of your loans are unsubsidized.

That should provide you with a basic understanding of the difference and borrowing guidelines between subsidized and unsubsidized student loans. However, for those of you who wish to know a little more about the “education maze” please visit us at www.credit911online.com/blog

Refinance Student Loans

21

Higher education comes with a high price, and most grad students do not have the cash not only to pay for graduate school upfront but also to pay for food, housing, medical expenses, etc., during graduate school. Some grad students may have decent jobs before they start graduate school, but many graduate students have to cut back on working to meet the rigorous demands of their graduate study. Luckily, there are many options to help graduate students pay for grad school, options which include student loans, stipends, and grants. You can use the information in this article to learn more about refinancing your student loans that helped you to pay for graduate school.

Some students choose to refinance student loans to reduce their student debt and monthly loan payments. Students can refinance their loans through various ways, such as consolidation.

Students should consider several things before refinancing student loans. For example, federal and private loans should be refinanced separately. Federal loans have lower interest rates than do private loans because government lenders know that students’ incomes will increase as they continue their educations. Consolidating federal loans with private loans when refinancing will raise interest more so than if the loans were refinanced separately.

Consider Your Credit Score

Students should have good credit scores before they refinance student loans. Bad credit scores will affect interest rates for refinanced loans. Before refinancing, students should review their credit reports and try to fix any problems. After they have fixed any problems with their credit scores, students should request quotes from different lenders to determine which lender would offer the best interest rates for the refinanced loans. Interest rates tend to change around July 1 every year, and though interest rates are currently low, changes in the economy can cause sudden changes in those rates.

Different lenders have different qualifications to refinance student loans. Most lenders do not allow the refinancing of loans that are currently paying for education. Some lenders require minimum balances of varying amounts to qualify for refinancing. Students should research these qualifications before refinancing.

Weigh Interest Rates vs Monthly Payments

Refinancing can either lower interest rates and monthly payments on student loans or redistribute the payments over longer periods. Lowering interest rates prevents long-term payment increases, and lowering monthly payments decreases short-term payments. Redistributing the payments over longer periods of time makes each payment more manageable but increases the overall balance of the loans because of interest.

Microsoft Office Student 2010 – Now on Sale – Get This Week’s Best Price Here

14

Microsoft Office Student 2010 is now on sale. You can get the cheapest price if you know how to find it. I will show you how to find today’s cheapest price.

Why is Microsoft Office so Cheap Now?

The answer is simple. Microsoft makes a new “Office” program around every 3 years (remember Office 2000, 2003, 2007 and now 2010?) I would expect the next one to come out around 2013. microsoft office 2010 key will be the “newest” Office for another three years but in 2011 people just won’t pay top price anymore for “last year’s model” so the stores must lower their prices.

Why buy a Newer Version?

When microsoft office professional 2010 plus first came out, many people ran to buy the newest product. People who didn’t run to get the new one are perfectly happy with the older versions so sales started going down. You can certainly keep using the older versions for awhile longer.

People buy the new one because:

They actually want some feature of the newer one While mostly compatible, you may own some program that doesn’t work with an older version They bought a new computer/laptop and want to install Office

What Applications Come With buy microsoft office 2010?

Office 2010 comes with:

Microsoft Word 2010 Microsoft Excel 2010 Microsoft PowerPoint 2010 Microsoft OneNote 2010

Most of them are “Old”, familiar programs complete with new and improved tools and features to help you create, communicate, and stay productive.

Buy Only a Licensed Copy!

I am telling you this as a warning – People try to get away with using their friend’s copy, downloading trials and buying “knockoffs”. In the end you will be sorry. Microsoft now knows how to control pirate copies and how many copies are made with the same license. In the end you will be sorry.

Now that the price has gone down so much, think of it as just an investment for at least the next 3 years.

Where Do I Get a Good Price Today?

You can spend hours surfing the web and you’ll probably end up with nothing (Google returns over one billion sites when you put in “cheap microsoft office 2010”!)

Burmese Language An Asset to Learn for Language Students

9

Burmese is the official language of Myanmar or Burma, and it is spoken by approximately 65% of the Burmese population. Although Myanmar or Burma has approximately one hundred spoken languages, most of these languages are spoken by ethnic minorities.

In Myanmar, Burmese is the primary language of instruction, while English is the secondary language that is being taught in schools. Interestingly, using minority languages in education and government is discouraged and has been not approved; but minority languages can be of course be used at home.

The Burmese language is intriguing, and sometimes foreigners, including language students may confused about the rich heritage of the Burmese language. There have been controversies about the name of the country since the 1930s. In the Burmese language, the country Burma/Myanmar is known as either Myanma or Bama. Military regime thinks that Myanma is more inclusive of minorities than Bama, thus, they gave the Burmese country a new name Myanmar. However, many of the minorities who do not speak Burmese believe that the name Myanmar is actually disrespectful, so many of the Burmese today are still accustomed to the name “Burma” as the most appropriate name of the country.

Burmese may not be the hardest language in the world; however, learning how to read and write this language may involve oddities and difficulties while learning. One of the interesting facts about the Burmese language is that almost every syllable has its meaning in Myanmar language, such as the names of towns and people.

Learning Burmese needs a lot of effort; it does require a combined effort between the teacher and the learner. Burmese culture is embedded in the language itself, and should be given special attention in the process of language learning. This is to ensure that language students will understand and respect the cultural differences between languages.

The Burmese language may not be a major language and has no tremendous linguistic status in the international arena; however, learning this language is an investment, a good asset to complete anybodys academic career.

Although the dominance of the English language is widespread all around the world, it doesnt entirely necessary mean that the vital significance of other languages like Burmese language should be neglected.

Language learning will help students to have a future and a career not only in the translation and interpreting industry, but also it generates major benefits in the working skills of language students in any industry.

Just like any other languages, the Burmese language is important as well. Thus, it should be noted that people should not ignore the importance and value of the Burmese language in communication and to their cultural identity.

Discover 7 Core Teaching Strategies To Become A Terrific Teacher

7

At times, teachers may feel inundated with theories, methodologies, teaching strategies, etc.etc.etc.

But please know that you can decide on how you want to run your classroom, and how you want to apply your teaching strategies.

One bit of information that I always pass on to my student teachers and teachers with little experience, is that it’s important to learn from more experienced teachers by watching them teach and reading as much as they can about any teaching strategies they have written. After that they will be in a much better position to pick and choose the teaching methods that suit them them the best.

Here are my top “7 Essential Core Teaching Strategies” that have held true for me throughout my 33 years of teaching from K-6.

1. Classroom Management is the teaching strategy that I consider to be most important in creating an effective teaching environment to ensure that your lessons will run smoothly and each teaching day will be a success.

There are many facets to ensuring effective classroom management including assertive classroom discipline, classroom behavior management, verbal and non-verbal communication strategies, classroom rules and classroom time management. Learning the details behind these essential classroom management strategies is the first step to success.

2. Know your students well. You should have different expectations for each one of your students. It is imperative to create a genuine bond with them (by the way that works both ways).

3. Continually Encourage and Motivate. Have your students set their own goals, helping them to attain them and then strive for new ones.

4. Build an effective teacher student relationship by displaying a caring and compassionate attitude towards your students. Show that you’re interested in them as people and they will return the favour (in most cases). Be sure to build up their self worth by maintaining a positive disposition.

5. Maintaining a communication dialogue with parents is very important. You are responsible for and accountable to your students so you must be professional, ready to meet and discuss any situation with parents. In some cases this will require a fair bit of tact and diplomacy on your part. On the other hand parents must respect you and your efforts as well.

6. Teachers need to show accountability primarily towards their students. But they are also accountable to parents, their school and themselves to provide their best effort every day throughout the year.

7. Teaching is “the best profession ever” if you have a real passion for it. Show your love for what you do, have FUN with your students and you will all benefit and learn from your experiences.

Digest these teaching strategies, play around with them, and implement those that fit your style of teaching. I truly hope that following these strategies will help you out and will make your life a little easier.

Try These Strategies and Have Fun!
